On select mornings at Kims, an experienced yoga instructor will take you through a 60min Flow yoga class on the oceanfront. This class is complimentary and you will receive notification prior to your arrival if/when it will be held.

Live Music
Kims resident pianist Dorian Mode entertains our guests in the cocktail bar two nights per week. Dorian is a multi-award-winning jazz pianist and composer. Having studied at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, he was eventually signed to EMI Records – one of the few local jazz artists to be signed to a major label in Australia – releasing his debut CD Rebirth of the Cool – with jazz luminaries Bernie McGann and others.
Dorian has recorded numerous albums earning an ABC Music Award for Best Instrumental and Best Jazz Composition; has composed the music for a FOX TV series; and was awarded an ABC Music Award for Best Theatrical Score for his score in the play The Good German at the Seymour Centre.
He is also a published author, an internationally published playwright, and holds Honours, Masters and Doctorate degrees. For three years he taught creative writing at Newcastle University, and for ten years he was head of the jazz dept at the Conservatorium of Music on the Central Coast.
On occasion, Dorian is accompanied in our cocktail bar by other musicians such as a bass guitarist, saxophonist or trumpetist.
Canape, Chords and Cocktail Evenings
On select dates we invite our guests to join us for a canape evening in our Cocktail bar.
A generous range of Canapes are served to you as you enjoy our live music and mingle with your fellow guests.
Wine Tasting
Kims brings the Hunter Valley vineyards to you! A representative from the featured winery attends our cocktail bar from 4:00pm on select days with several wines for you to taste. They will talk to you about the making of the wines, the vineyards and the flavour profile of the wines. The tasting is complimentary and Kims provides cheese plates to accompany the tastings. You will receive notification prior to your arrival if/when it will be held.
